Mia Jackson is owner and founder of DORO Marketing. After over a decade of experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors, Mia decided to focus on her passion – PR and marketing. DORO has been featured in the national media, including USA Today, MSNBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and Black Enterprise.
Prior to founding DORO, Mia served as Director of The Center for a New Generation (CNG) in East Palo Alto a family education and learning center founded by Dr. Condoleezza Rice. Next she worked at Charles Schwab, Inc. as a key member of the in-house ad agency. Now at DORO, Mia strives to offer the best strategic communications planning and implementation in their respective markets. Clients have included: The NFL, The National Medical Association, The National Service Learning Partnership, The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, and other industry leaders.
Mia’s love of sports led her to found Sideline Pass, a premier service for the female sports fan. For the past three years, Sideline Pass has become a go-to spot on the Web for women and men looking for timely yet unique sports information. The group’s weekly segment on Let’s Talk Live!, the DC area local ABC talk show. Also, Mia Jackson co-hosts the Game Ready Mom online radio show each week with Deborah Johnson, of PFPMA.
Mia is a graduate of Stanford University and loves her Cardinal. She is the proud mother of Taylor Jackson, also a graduate of Stanford University.
